Favorite Reality TV Show: Hogan Knows Best
Least Favorite: American Idol

Entourage: The first episode was clearly the best Sunday night television has to offer. Even though its really the same show week in and week out, they find a way to keep us really really entertained. I’m not really a fan of the new agent, Amanda. I think shes really fake and wants nothing more then to use Vince for poppy projects that will do nothing more then just make her (and obviously him) a lot of money. Ari, although sometimes can be a total asshole really wants what is best for Vince. Getting him a project like Medeian (spell check), is something that, if hes serious, would have him back as Vince’s agent in a mila second. So I’d say Ari is back as Vince’s agent by episode 4. But I hope Vince or one of them gets to fuck Amanda because at the end of the day she is really hot.

Sopranos: It’s hard for me to get 100% back into a show after 3 straight seasons of disappointment. Maybe I’m alittle biased because I was way into the mafia when I was in high school and read a ton of books, so my expectations are high. But after seasons 1 and 2, who’s wasn’t. Anyway, my feeling is that Tony will get indicted. I don’t think anyone in the NJ family would have the balls to kill Tony and take over the family because none of them are mentally strong enough to do so. I guess if someone had big enough balls from the NY family, they could put the hit out on Tony, but once again, I think thats a stretch. Only if Phil Leotardo is smart enough to realize if he kills Tony, the NJ family will fall apart. BUT something like that could trigger a huge NJ/NY war and who knows what Christopher or Paulie would do in a situation like that. It could get bloody and at the end of the day, eliminate both families from the mafia.

So what do I think is going to happen? I have a simple answer. Tony will NOT die or get killed, he will kill or have killed Phil Leotardo (taking out his worst potential enemy) and at the end of the day, he will be smoking a cigar in his backyard, celebrating an acquital from the RICO case he gets indicted on and becomes the most powerful mob boss in all of NJ/NY.

favorite reality show: Real World – I just can’t get over the fact that can consistently find people who are so dumb and love to humiliate themselves on television all for their 15mins of fame. Its great, I hope they have 500000 seasons of it. I’ll watch every single one of them.

least favorite reality show: American Idol – Absolutely worthless, nobody has and will ever become a true star besides kelly clarkson after the 1st season. Its a ridiculous show that I am praying Howard Stern is helping to ruin for good and it goes off the air. Except America is to dumb and will continue watching the bullshit.

I have always had a thing for Carla Gugino, so it’s nice to see her make her way back into mainstream media. Vince needs to keep her has his agent so that she can stay on the show; Entourage isn’t going to exist if Ari isn’t on, so you know he will have a role somewhere.

A few of my favorite reality shows are The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars and The Apprentice.

The Amazing Race is absolutely incredible. The places the contestants go, the sites they see and the things they do are beyond phenonimal. When following a season you really find yourself hating several times and loving a few of them as well. Very easy to get attached. Plus, the host, Phil, is real sweet and every time he previews a “Detour” and walks at the camera, I lose it. He’s so sweet.

Dancing with the Stars has one of the most important qualities a TV show needs. Hot women. There are hot women galore, they aren’t wearing much, and they are moving their bodies in all sorts of ways. If you’re not hooked right there, you might have problems. The show also features lots of really sweet old school “B” list actors and acresses. Another show where you find yourself rooting and not rooting. Once again, I love the host, Tom Bergeron, who’s wit always cracks me up.

The Apprentice is an underrated show that even I don’t watch as much as I should. But every time I do I love it. Donald J Trump has always been criticized for his antics but I really enjoy him. Plus he makes badass ties. His daughter, Ivanka, is a big part of the show and seriously might be one of the top five packages, in terms of a woman, in the world. Absolutely gorgeous and very intelligent. As in all reality shows you get a feel for the characters and love/hate them. Now that i’m saying this for the third time, I’m realizing it’s just part of a reality show. But this is one that’s fun to think about how you would have went about a task and for a brief moment think you could compete on the show until you remember these people have graduate, bachelor’s and law degrees from Harvard, Princeton, etc.

I also can’t get enough of Carla Gugino. Just something about her. So normal looking hot, maybe? I don’t know, but I do know I love her look. Sin City anybody?!?!? That brief moment was amazing. Plus she’s got a little sass that will fit perfectly on the show.

Not only does Ari need to stay on the show but so does Lloyd!

Johnny Drama is back and once again amusing me every second he speaks (or actually just on the screen).

Where’s Babs?!?!?! Maybe with Wayne Newton? Beverly D’angelo, so old, so hot and so griswald-ish.

Entourage is one of the best shows on TV and I’m extremely happy it’s back. I think every person in the world that watches it thinks it, but I’m still gonna say it….I wish it was a good solid 45 minutes long (I won’t be greedy for an hour).

Sopranos I watch just because but don’t really know what I think about it. It’s like great and yet horrible all at the same time. I’ll obviously watch every episode and am hoping for big things. I hate Anthony Soprano Jr and every angle they ever set up for him.

This was a tough one between Amanda and Tori, but I just really dig Malin Ackerman(Tori). She was freakshows wife in Harold and Kumar and the fact that she was up for a threesome pushed her over the top for me. Anyone else think that Ari’s wife has lost ridiculous weight since Old School? I mean she was always thin, but she almost looked sickly on Sunday. Sloan is hot, but if E can get her then she must not be worth it. Flower Girl doesn’t stand a chance.

Vince needs to bang Ari’s Wife simply because it’s Ari’s Wife!

I have heard from several sources that Spiderman 3 is awful. Several accounts, have stated that the storyline and the acting were horrible. The special effects as expected were great. The movie on a whole dismal. I have not seen the film but know a poster here is a big fan what are the thoughts?

The Sopranos in its Final Season, is proving why it is the BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION. Well technially it’s not tv it’s HBO, lol. This seaosn has been spectacular and arguably the best season yet. It reminds me precisely why I fell in love with this show bakc in 1999 when I stubled across the premier, at the time not a highly publicized debut. There have been surprising events as well as some more predictable ones. It has maintained it’s traditional humor while still being dark and sticking to the roots that have made The Sopranos popular.

Sadly as characters have died each week, with the exception of this past Sunday, the remaining Characters have captivated our attention.

It is the best part of any sunday. The surprise this week, as Tony pulled an “American History X” special. Even More Surprising is that Coco did not die.

When Meadow, looking hotter with each season, told Tony of the events that transpired the night before, I was checked into reality. Meado tells her father that Coco said, “She had whipped cream on her mouth.” I swear he only said cream, and was taking it soley as a sexual reference. Chase and his team of writers perhaps played this as a pun, but toned it down at the Soprano kitchen table. Normally leaving such rare vulgarity for the backroom of the Bing’ or Satrialle’s.

To pick up on the subtle references of you have to been a Real Soprano’s Afficianado. As Tony, Carm, and AJ sat down in therapy, for the third time in the series the line, “Poor you” originating from the late Olivia Soprano has been uttered. Ironically Tony has used it to throw in the face of other’s as his mother did to him.

With only two episodes left and the traditional Memorial Day Weekend breasks, June 10th will be one of the most surreal days of the year. Two final hours will divulge what will come of the feud with Phil Leatardo. This week was the start, as Tony’s home and worklife are on the verge of simultaneously falling apart. We will soon learn what is to become of Tony and the guys of the back room of The Bing’.

I think that Tony makes it through the season finale; T is the heart and soul of The Sopranos, and I wanna see him end up on top.

I didn’t see the finale of The Sopranos, but I did hear that many people were upset because there really wasn’t a definite ending. But I think that all of the conversations that arose because of this decision is exactly what Chase wanted, so, in essence, the ending was perfect. I think only a man of Tim Dean’s knowledge could truly appreciate the ending.

Let’s get some talk going about TV Shows in the Summer…what does everyone watch when the major networks essentially turn off their big ticket shows?

I will exclude sports-type shows from this discussion (i.e. SportsCenter, TUF, Raw, etc.).

CBS shows re-runs of How I Met Your Mother each Monday at 9:30 PM, but I have seen many of these episodes. I know that I said I wouldn’t talk about sports shows, but I have to mention how sweet it is that My Network TV has IFL Battleground (and Tiffany Fallon) on every Monday night. TBS is going to start airing new episodes of My Boys Mondays at 10:00 PM starting July 30th…SWEET!

Tuesdays gives me re-runs of George Lopez and According to Jim, two shows that I, for one, enjoy. FX has a new show coming on called Damages that will air in the spot vacated by The Shield, although I can’t imagine I will be tuning in each week to see Glenn Close and Sam Malone.

Speaking of FX, the network gives me my favorite Summer show on Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM: RESCUE ME!

Thursdays: Re-runs of The Office and Scrubs are always enjoyable.

Fridays don’t do much for me, but I know that Haver is a big fan of Monk and Psych…maybe I’ll give them a shot.

The Fall TV Season is just around the corner, which means new episodes of How I Met Your Mother, Boston Legal, The Office, Scrubs, and Las Vegas (which will be followed on Fridays by, appropriately, Friday Night Lights). This isn’t to mention that UFC has a new TUF, premiering September 20th after UFC Fight Night. And, obviously, with Fall comes the Fall Classic and FOOTBALL!!!

For now, though, let’s enjoy the simple, Summer things that make us happy…like visits from Hoss!

The only thing television wise I actually like to and rearrange my schedule to watch during the summer is RESCUE ME. It’s really such a great show. It has everything you need: comedy, drama, chicks (although most are crazy), great storylines that keep you wanting more and one of the greatest leads ever: dennis leary.

i cant really get into to reruns of sitcoms or even dramas on the weekdays. the summer is a time for me to catch up on movies that i missed in theaters and also the new summer blockbusters that im dying to see.

Raible knows me well. Friday night with Monk and Psych is one of the best nights of all of TV. While I DVR these if I’m out and that could be a problem for those without it, the best thing about these shows is you can watch whenever you want and not miss a beat. If you haven’t watched either of these I demand you give them a try. While I enjoy the three main characters (Monk, Shawn, and Gus) I’ll talk about a few of the other things that I like, that are classic Haverisms. In Monk, Lt Disher is the man. He’s hilarious. And his relationship with Cpt Stottlemyre is phenominal. In Psych, Lassie kills me. He’s always so pissed off and it’s great. With both shows it took me a few episodes to realize how great these characters were but once you get used to them you’ll love them. If nothin else you’ll see them do something and laugh thinkin, “I bet Haver is lovin this.” In Psych, they also have the always important cute girl, Jules. Another part of these shows I love is that they show what actually happened. You ever watch a show and they solve the case but don’t actually show exactly how it happened and wonder? Not with these, as they always reenact exactly what went on.

USA also has a new show on, Burn Notice, on Thursdays that I’m gonna give a try. It stars the astronaut from a previous Monk.

Obviously Entourage is as good as it gets in the Summer.

Raible and DellaFave both love Rescue Me and that tells me one thing. I MUST WATCH IT.

I kind of enjoy the Summer when there’s not as many shows on because i feel like the pressure of keeping up with all my shows is finally off. But it’s great to have a few to really pay attention to and watch. Can’t wait for Curb!

This past week’s Entourage was my favorite. My boy is Johnny Drama and he was on fire. Not only was he spectacular in the doctor’s waiting room and office but him walking down the set of his show with Stayin Alive playing, in his hoody (that made him look 10 years younger), sweet shades and trucker hat was my favorite Drama scene since he came out of nowhere to knock out one of Seth Green’s cronies.

Love anytime Josh Weinstein is involved and Ari had a classic Ari line, “No, good news is when the wife agrees to eat box for your birthday. This is great news!”

Walsh can crack me up but also annoy me, but the “Suits suck” shirt was priceless. Speaking of annoying, the worst part of the story line continues to be how tough E thinks he is but it’s not enough to stop the greatness that is Entourage. They need to build on this episode.

Some Rescue Me thoughts…

-The Denis Leary (Tommy Gavin) speech about being a firefighter, while eating Chicken Cordon Bleu with his shirt off in the last episode, was one of the most classic scenes from this season.

-Andrea Roth (Janet Gavin) is so hot.

-So is Daniel Sunjata (Franko, Reggie Jackson in The Bronx is Burning).

-Speaking of Sunjata, he gets my vote as TV MVP this Summer for his work on Rescue Me and The Bronx is Burning.

-I’m still a fan of Tatum O’Neal (Maggie)…hard to believe that she was Amanda Whurlitzer from the Bad News Bears (the original version, of course). And she was married to Johnny Mc…as in McEnroe!

-Artie Lange (Kenny’s cousin) is making solid guest appearances this season, banging nuns and chasing after fat, black waitresses.

-If you watch the show, don’t you just wanna smack Natalie Distler (Colleen Gavin) in the face?

-I am sorry, but Susan Sarandon (Alicia) is a fucking MILF…or GILF…or whatever the hell Haver would classify her as.

-If you watch the show, how PUMPED would Haver have been to be Mike Lombardi (Mike Silletti) in this past week’s episode, getting the Mom-Daughter combo (about a 60-some year old and a 40-some year old)?

-Lennny Clarke (Uncle Teddy) never gets old.

MDC!!!!!!! HUGE!!!!!!! And neither were young! Outstanding work.

I don’t watch a ton of tv, and I have kinda weird tastes I guess, but here’s what I watch:

-Bronx- I think most of us have checked this out, and I like it.

-Mad Men- This is on AMC and has some producer connection to the Sopranos. It takes place in the 50s which I like. It might not be that appealing to everyone but I like it.

-Art of War- This has only had 3 parts so far but it diagrams several famous battles in HD. My only complaint is that two of the battles they chose (Bulge, Waterloo) are more famous than interesting.

-The Company- This was a 6-hour mini-series that just aired on TNT. It tracks the CIA from the end of WWII through the end of the Cold War. It’s basically a rip off of The Good Sheppard, but it got much better as it went on. Alfred Molina is my favorite actor and he’s in it. On the down side, Chris O’Donnell is also in it, and his presence makes not watching it totally understandable.

-Lil Bush- I know it sucks, and it’s written by a smarmy liberal, but I still like it.

That’s basically it. Am I missing anything good?

We talk about everything else on this, and I’m not sure where it should fall under, but I want to take a lashing at Bob Casey, a Democratic Senator here in Pennsylvania.

Senator Casey today said the Bush administration is only considering a token withdrawal of U.S. soldiers from Iraq to placate critics of the war, in advance of next week’s official report on the progress of the troop “surge.” The Iraqis need a “very clear and unambiguous” statement that we’re going to withdraw, Mr. Casey, a Democrat, said at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank based in Washington, DC. “We’re out of patience. Look at what we’ve already contributed to this war,” he said. “You’ve got to get moving.”

You’re out of patience, docuhe bag? You have been in office for, what, 3 weeks? Shut your fucking mouth, homo!

I love how Casey comes out and says this, conveniently, just as General David Petraeus, the US commander in Iraq, will reportedly recommend a gradual reduction of US forces beginning next spring in his eagerly anticipated testimony to Congress next week. The force reduction Petraeus forecast will come as the five additional brigades deployed to Iraq as part of President George W. Bush’s “surge” strategy end their tours of duty over the spring and summer, and are not replaced.

You know what, Bob (who, mind you, is completely living off his father’s name): Why don’t you let the big boys take care of things. Clearly there is a plan: The New York Times reported Friday that Petraeus has told Bush he wants to keep the heightened troop level there well into next year, but that he could accept pulling out about 4,000 soldiers beginning in January. Petraeus wants to maintain troop levels to reduce the risk of military setbacks but could accept the withdrawal of one brigade to assuage critics in Congress, the Times said, citing unnamed senior administration and military officials.

Beyond the gesture of pulling back one brigade, Petraeus will discuss the possibility of far deeper withdrawals beyond January that, over a number of months, could bring US force levels back to the early 2007 point of 130,000 troops, said the Times. There are currently 168,000 US troops in Iraq, including the 30,000 “surge” troops deployed to help stabilize Baghdad and the restive Al-Anbar province.

The pullouts would have to be contingent, and are only going to work, on the ability of US and Iraqi forces to sustain what the administration sees as recent gains in security and to make further inroads in stabilizing Iraq.

I hate when war fatigue begins to affect and undermine foreign policy.

If I understand you correctly (and I’ll admit that it is hard to understand Dean due to his intelligence), but I think that I agree 100%. People want to change their way of thinking because they are tired of being at war? That’s a poor excuse to change foreign policy.

The Office debuts in Syndication tonight…HUGE!!!

HUGE! How about the first 4 The Office’s of the year being hour long episodes!!!! In general, what a time of the year for TV, with college and pro football, baseball playoffs around the corner, and all new tv shows.

4 hour-long episodes before the season premiere of Scrubs…HUGE!

Rescue Me season finale tomorrow night…EGUH!

(That’s HUGE spelled backwards because I had to use a different word to explain how HUGE it is!)

Yeager’s Birthday coming up…should be sweet!

NINETY MINUTE SEASON PREMIERE OF BOSTON LEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that doesnt watch Psych needs to take a long look at their life. Last night was unbelievable. Burton Guster is one of the best characters on TV. Kevin Sorbo guest starred and well, was Kevin Sorbo! New episodes in January!

My Emmys (we’ll call them the Bennys)…

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series Nominees:
James Spader, Boston Legal
Kiefer Sutherland, 24
Hugh Laurie, House
Denis Leary, Rescue Me
James Gandolfini, The Sopranos

Spader won the Emmy, but the Benny goes to Leary for his work on Rescue Me. I like Rescue Me the best of the shows listed here, so that is first and foremost. While I love Spader, his awesomeness on Legal is often shared with William Shatner, whereas Leary pretty much just dominates Rescue Me. I don’t watch 24 or House, and I haven’t seen The Sopranos in a few years.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series:
Ricky Gervais, Extras
Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
Tony Shalhoub, Monk
Steve Carell, The Office
Charlie Shee, Two And A Half Men

Somehow, Gervais won the Emmy; is there any doubt in this world that the Benny goes to Carell? Michael Scott is quite possibly the best character on TV, so I really consider this a no-brainer. I have never seen Extras, don’t watch 30 Rock often enough (although Baldwin is sweet), don’t think that Antonio Scarpacci should win, and don’t watch Two and A Half Men often enough either.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series:
Sally Field, Brothers & Sisters
Mariska Hargitay, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Patricia Arquette, Medium
Kyra Sedgwick, The Closer
Minnie Driver, The Riches
Edie Falco, The Sopranos

Field won the Emmy has a star on the ABC hit Brothers & Sisters, a show that my girlfriend fancies. Wow, it’s tough to pick a winner here. Rumor has it that the Benny committee put all these names in a hat, and the one that was picked was Falco. Ellen Pompeo of Grey’s Anatomy really should have been nominated here, and had she been nominated, she probably would have taken home the Benny (or at least taken Benny home with her!).

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series:
America Ferrera, Ugly Betty
Tina Fey, 30 Rock
Felicity Huffman, Desperate Housewives
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, The New Adventures Of Old Christine
Mary-Louise Parker, Weeds

Ugly Betty won the Emmy, but Fey takes home the Benny. In reality, I am somewhat dumbfounded here as to who to select. Jordana Spiro of My Boys or Sarah Chalke of Scrubs would have been fine choices here, too.

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series:
Terry O’Quinn, Lost
William Shatner, Boston Legal
T.R Knight, Grey’s Anatomy
Masi Oka, Heroes
Michael Emerson, Lost
Michael Imperioli, The Sopranos

The Emmy went to O’Quinn, but the Benny goes to Shatner…in a complete and utter domination. While Leary edged out Spader in the Lead Actor category, Shatner’s competition is about as good as Penn State’s out of conference schedule here. DENNY CRANE!!!

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series:
Jeremy Piven, Entourage
Kevin Dillon, Entourage
Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother
Rainn Wilson, The Office
Jon Cryer, Two And A Half Men

The Emmy went to Piven, and you would have a hard time arguing against the selection. In fact, this list of nominees might be the toughest to pick from. In somewhat of an upset, the Benny goes to NPH. I love the show How I Met Your Mother, and NPH is the main reason why. As solid as Ari, Drama, Dwight, and that other dude are, Doogie Howser comes out on top (wow, the irony in that statement) here.

Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series:
Katherine Heigl, Grey’s Anatomy
Rachel Griffiths, Brothers & Sisters
Sandra Oh, Grey’s Anatomy
Chandra Wilson, Grey’s Anatomy
Aida Turturro, The Sopranos
Lorraine Bracco, The Sopranos

The Emmys got it right in giving the award to Heigl, who takes home a Benny tonight as well. I have a huge crush on Dr. Isobel ‘Izzie’ Stevens, so this is another no-brainer for me. Sandra Oh’s best days are clearly behind her; she should have retired from acting as Rita Wu after Arliss went off the air.

Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series:
Jaime Pressly, My Name Is Earl
Jenna Fischer, The Office
Conchata Ferrell, Two And A Half Men
Holland Taylor, Two And A Half Men
Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty
Elizabeth Perkins, Weeds

The beautiful Pressly won the Emmy, but the Benny goes to the way better and just as beautfiul Fischer. Don’t think Pam Beesly is hot? Have you seen Blades of Glory? If not, rent it and you’ll see why! Two And A Half Man is clearly a solid and well-received show. But the fact that it goes up head-to-head against MNF/Big Monday and WWE Raw kills it in my book.

Outstanding Drama Series:
The Sopranos
Boston Legal
Grey’s Anatomy
Heroes
House

Fittingly, the Emmy went to The Sopranos as the show went off the air this year. The Bennys, however, don’t get into that nostalgic shit; as a result, the Benny goes to Boston Legal. DENNY CRANE!!!

Outstanding Comedy Series:
30 Rock
Entourage
The Office
Two and a Half Men
Ugly Betty

The Emmy went to 30 Rock, but the Benny goes to The Office. After having moved out of my parent’s house a few years ago and into a house of my own, I have unfortunately missed about the last 3 or so seasons of Entourage. As a result, The Office wins rather easily in my show.

Outstanding Reality-competition Program:
The Amazing Race
American Idol
Dancing With The Stars
Project Runway
Top Chef

The Amazing Race won the Emmy. Do I have to pick a winner? What they should do is drop the “competition” from the award and just make it the Outstanding Reality Program; if that were the case, Hogan Knows Best would be the clear favorite. But because the word “competition” is still there, the Benny goes to…no one. This award sucks!

Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series:
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart
Late Night With Conan O’Brien
Late Show With David Letterman
Real Time With Bill Maher
The Colbert Report

The Daily Show won the Emmy, and, once again, the preferred choice for the Benny is not listed. Had it been nominated, Jimmy Kimmel Live would have won the Benny; in fact, my second preferred choice is not here either (The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson). Be it as it may, the winner of the Benny here is clearly Letterman.

After some thought, I have decided to award a Benny for Outstanding Reality-competition Program. The Benny goes to…

WWE Raw

Why can’t Raw win here? Raw is a program. Raw features competition. Raw is outstanding. And Raw is most definitely reality because, as we all know, Wrestling is REAL!!!

WWE Raw

You know everyone talks about all the shows they love- One show I thought was AWFUL and it came as no surprise: Cavemen

Two shows I find myself watching that not many people talk about are ” Last man standing,” on discovery and ” It’s always sunny in philadelphia,” which is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Entertainment Weekly came out with their list of the Top 25 Most Awesome Action Heroes. Their Top 5:

1. Bruce Willis, Die Hard
2. Sigourney Weaver, Aliens
3. Harrison Ford, Raiders of the Lost Ark
4. Mel Gibson, The Road Warrior
5. Keanu Reeves, The Matrix

While John McClane was certainly a badass, I think my vote for the Most Awesome Action Hero would have to go to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character Dutch in Predator. While growing up, no other action hero was more often imitated than Dutch in my neighborhood; we literally used to play Predator, and every single person wanted to “be Dutch.”

Dutch was such an asskicker in Predator. If you’ve never seen the movie, shame on you (I own the VHS, by the way). The plot is defined as the following:

Dutch (Schwarzenegger) and a small group of commandos are sent by the CIA to a Central American Jungle to rescue captured airmen from Guerillas. But it’s not the armed terrorists which are the problem. Something hidden in the jungle, something invisible to the naked eye, something not of this earth is the problem. As Dutch and his men head back to transport, they are slowly targeted one by one.

I don’t want to give away too much of the movie in case some of you knucleheads have never seen it and are running out to the closest Blockbuster as we speak. But let’s just say that Dutch is the baddest ass of them all!

That’s awesome. I swear to God not only did I watch Predator on Monday, but I was thinking Dutch while reading the top of the post. Arnold in Commando is also mentionable. Anyone who is equally skilled with modern weaponry and the scraps of nature has to be on the list.

Rambo and Dutch are names that could definitely be on that list, but Arnold in just about any movie is sweet.

Finally watched “Knocked Up” with the future wife tonight (the Unrated version, of course). A lot of Paul Rudd, a lot of laughs, a lot of f-bombs, a lot of Leslie Mann, and a LOT of Katherine Heigl. Solid, solid flick!

Huge The Amazing Race season debut this past Saturday. Phil is back and still the sweetest host in the game.

As always some great and unique teams. From the beginning I thought the black siblings were my favorites. Azaria and Hendeaka are both athletic and smart, a tough combo for The Race. After one episode looks like they might have a few too many sibling squabbles but will still be formidable team.

The surprise of the first episode was Rachel and TK finishing first. They look unassuming, or basically hippi’ish, but they got things done. The main reason I can see future success for them is their lack of fighting. They were the most cooperative team.

Even more fun than how well the teams do sometimes is how much they fight. Two classic couple this year are Jennifer and Nathan, your classic blonde and meathead; and Lorena and Jason, your classic bitchy girl and laid back dude. They’ll be hilarious to watch.

Thav, you’re talking about The Amazing Race for some unknown reason. Could you at least mention some babes?

BABES! The LA Blondes aren’t afraid to use their bodies to their advantage. Shana and Jennifer are hot but going with the territory of being a hot blonde, they seem incredibly dumb. I don’t see them lasting long but lets hope for an activity involving a bikini soon! There are also some sister babes from Miami, Marianna and Julia. Dark, Miami looking girls, they seem like they aren’t afraid to get dirty.

Out of the other teams the ones that stand out are clearly the goth couple, Kynt and Vyxsin and the Lesbian Ministers, Kate and Pat. Lesbian Ministers. What a find!!!!

The first team to go was Ari and Stella. Stella had a promising rack but her “best friend” aka flaming homo Ari had to go.

It’s gonna be a great season! Phil rules!!!!

Any of you dudes watch MTV’s The Hills? It’s such a sweet show, if you don’t. While it is certainly a chick show, if you will, the beauty of it is that I can watch it with my girlfriend, make her all happy that I’m actually watching it with her, then just sit there and stare at all of the hot bitches.

The Hills is where it’s at!

OK, this writer’s strike is getting annoying. It’s been weeks since we’ve had a new Office and I’m getting impatient!

I saw an interesting question on the Sports Guy’s Marathon Chat from last week…

Who would be in your all-time SNL lineup (5 men and 2 women)?

I’m gonna add on to it to also pick 1 host, a musical guest, and list some of the skits that you would perform (MUST have a Weekend Update, of course). Mine:

Host: Steve Martin – The King of SNL hosts, Martin has hosted the show a record 14 times. You can’t beat “Wild and Crazy Guys” and the Christmas skit where he wished “peace and joy to all of the kids around the world.”

Musical Guest: Beastie Boys – 2-time musical guests are my favorite musical act of all-time.

Cast:
Tina Fey – Tough sledding when looking for solid women players. I’m gonna go with Tina for her work on Weekend Update.

Amy Poehler – Amy can do Weekend Update with Tina Fey.

Chris Farley – Would reprise his roles as Matt Foley the Motivational Speaker and Todd O’Conner from the Superfans. Who could forget “El Nino,” the Chippendale strip tease with Swayze, “Lunch Lady Land,” etc.

David Spade – Where there’s Farley, one must have Spade. Dick Clark’s secretary, Airline Steward who says buh-bye, and of course the Hollywood Minute.

Eddie Murphy – As much as I love Chris Rock, I think that Murphy was the best black guy to do SNL. Gumby, Buckwheat, and Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood are classics.

Phil Hartman – Has there ever been a man who has played more roles? Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, Frank Sinatra, Charlton Heston, Frankenstein, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, etc.

Will Ferell – Tough to go against Ferrell, although I also considered Sandler, Rock, Fallon, MacDonald, Carvey, etc. You could do a lot with Farrell, though, including Celebrity Jeopardy, Spartan Cheerleader, George Bush, Harry Caray, James Lipton, Roxbury, etc.

Host-Steve Martin-I feel like it’s cheating taking a former cast member as a host but Martin is the man so I’ll take him, too.
Music-Boyz II Men (Paul Shaffer is in the studio band for my crew)
Phil Hartman-Must have
Chris Farley-Must have
Will Ferrell-Need Harry Caray among others
Norm MacDonald-The man
Dana Carvey-Real sweet
Amy Poehler-Kinda cute, kinda funny
Cheri Oteri-Kinda hot, moderately funny

There’s no way in my best of SNL group that I’m having those women do one of the most integrel parts of SNL, The Weekend Update. MacDonald gets the nod for the hell of it, but my team would have to consist of him/Nealon/Miller/Chase.

I refuse to force a black guy on just to have a black guy.

Respectfully disagree with “Where’s there’s Farley, one must have Spade.”

Mike Myers and Adam Sandler are probably the next 2 on my list. Guys from the early days like Bill Murray are amazing, just feel like before my time.

Tempted to go with Julia Louie-Dreyfuss as a woman just because, but can’t think of a sketch she did offhand.

Yeah, I don’t like the fact that I have Fey and Poehler doing my Weekend Update, but I don’t really want any girl doing any skit (I guess I could have used Oteri, too, as one of my girls and only had her do Spartans Cheerleader skits with Ferrell). I really wanted to get MacDonald in, and Haver may have convinced me to do so in place of Spade. I’m gonna stick with Murphy over Carvey, though, but it looks like we have much of the same cast for the most part.

Ya the plan would be to basically have those women do at little as possible. Maybe just be standing in the corner during scenes. Oteri and Ferrell would obviously do Spartan Cheerleaders.

TONIGHT, USA—–9:00 CHRISTMAS MONK. 10:00 CHRISTMAS PSYCH. Gonna be HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Christmas Vegas with Tom “Don’t call me Dave Wannstedt” Selleck!

Frank TV, as much as I wanted it to work, just doesn’t seem to be working. Sports Unfiltered, meanwhile, seems to be solid if unspectacular. I hope Versus gives Miller the time he needs to make it really work. The Season Finale of The Hills was terrible. Raw XV Anniversary was solid. American Gladiators is on the horizon…hooray!

Anyone here obsessed with the Bondathon? If so it needs discussed at length.

Haha AT LENGTH!

Best Bond movie? I vote Goldfinger…Pussy Galore, Oddjob, Connery, etc.

I think it’s between Goldfinger and From Russia.

American Gladiators…HUGE! The Hulkster as host is amazing, and I thought that Laila Ali was fine as his co-host. My favorites of the new Gladiators are Crush (also known as Gina Carano to you MMA fans…I wanna bang her) and Wolf, although Titan seems to be the man. As for which game I enjoy the most, I was always a big fan of Assault; me and my brothers used to play it at our house with Nerf guns/balls and stuff. The new Pyramid game is pretty sweet, too, as it seems to involve the most physical contact…maybe I can play Pyramid with Crush?!?!

Tune in Monday at 8 PM on NBC…you’ll be glad you did!
