Final Thoughts and Preseason Top 24.

Posted on April 4, 2007. Filed under: College Basketball |

I would like to attest that I was unable to watch the Final 4 Saturday night because of a wedding I attended in Denver, CO. From what was discussed Florida took it to UCLA, while GTOWN/Ohio St. was marred by foul trouble and a star who attempted to be anything but.
As for the finals, not [...]

And Then There Were Two

Posted on April 1, 2007. Filed under: Basketball, College Basketball, College Sports |

It seems like just yesterday we were discussing the field of 65.  One blink later we have two teams left standing.  Ohio State fans are loving the idea of revenge from the BCS Championship game and in the same respect, there’d be nothing better for Florida fans than pounding Ohio State again.
 For the second straight [...]

TALENT WINS

Posted on March 24, 2007. Filed under: Basketball, College Basketball |

You can talk about coaching.  You can talk about schemes.  But at the end of the day, it’s talent that matters in college basketball.

Wells’s Top 24 and Hardwood Notes

Posted on March 6, 2007. Filed under: College Basketball |

What a week, virtually everyone lost at some point and we have 6 teams who have already punched their tickets for the NCAA tournament. I was very impressed with some mid-major teams this weekend, which is apparent at the bottom of this list. (Last Weeks Rank in parenthesis)
1. Kansas(2)- Finished strong with wins over [...]

Tell Me You Didn’t Miss it….

Posted on March 1, 2007. Filed under: College Basketball, College Sports |

I don’t want to say “I told you so,” but I did.
Last night’s Texas-Texas A&M match-up in Austin was THE BEST college basketball game I’ve seen this year(I missed Texas-Okla St.), and one of the best in recent memory. Acie Law IV undoubtedly has ice water pumping through his veins. His late game heroics in [...]
