2008 NFL Mock Draft
This year I have decided to take the next step for our NFL Mock draft to see how it goes. I have created a new blogsite here on wordpress at nflmock.wordpress.com. I am looking for everyone involved in the mock draft last year to participate again if they’d like. In addition to the draft, I want to rank each position before the draft this year. The rankings and draft will be updated as often as possible, but I’d like everyone’s input. So when you get a chance take a look and let me know what you think.

The new site looks pretty bad ass, Wells. It also looks like you’re trying to cater it more to an audience outside the 4 of us on here. If that is indeed the case, then I think you should come up with a solid plan of who is going to contribute what and when to the new site. If you want me contribute, I can; if not, no big deal. It’s all good, baby, because Robert Morris hoops beat BOSTON COLLEGE last night!

We’ve already had a little correspondance about this but I’m in the same boat. Let me know what you need and I’ll get after it. In the meantime I’ll try to come up with some stuff on my own.

This is what I have so far:
Haver- Defensive Front-7
Raible- DB’s
Jon Frank-QB
Yetti-RB
Wells- WR/TE
OL-Open right now
Team Needs: Dean you think you can handle these; maybe do 3 for each team?
I think the day for underclassmen to declare is next Wed the 16th. So if we start getting our rankings together they shouldn’t change to much by then, and I would like to have rankings posted by next Friday the 18th.
Let me know what you can/cannot do otherwise, have at it.

Do you want us to send the stuff to you, Wells, so that everything is coming from the same place? Or should we just go on our appropriate page next week and put up our rankings? Also, do you just want rankings, or do you want some analysis, too?

Sorry as I was saying…Send them to me and then I will post with credit to whoever covered the specific page.
Good stuff Dean, like I said, lets aim for next Friday with Monday the 18th being the absolute last day to post. This way we can start on the mock. It’s important to get atleast one round up before the draft, but if we do that quick enough we can move onto other rounds possibly.
If you guys have any thoughts on how we can improve this, let me know.

One more question…how many should we all rank just so we’re consistent? Analyze the Top 5-10, but rank the Top 15-20?

15-20 is definitely a good range for each position. For example, I’m doing WR’s and TE’S- I might do 25 or so WR’s but only 10 TE’s, so use your judgement.

I think that it’s safe to say that Wells, T-Hav, Dean, and Raibs have simply brought it to the NFL Mock site. It’s time for the others (this means you, Yetti!) to step it up and get their rankings updated!
