Fantasy College Football Huge Idea

Wells sent that email yesterday and you know I have a suggestion.  But this won’t change anything in place.  I thought I’d post my idea on both here and via email.    I’d like to create some type of bonus competition throughout bowl season.  Same rosters but abbreviated lineups.  Pick a lineup prior to bowl season, all 8 teams compete, winner is the winner.

 I’m thinkin 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1/2 Flex, 1 TE, 1/2 Def, 1 K.

If someone doesn’t have a TE that doesn’t make a bowl or something they could simply pick one up.

We can do this for zero money and just an experiment.  Have fun and possibly add a portion of the pot towards this next year.  Or just simply add 5 or 10 bucks a person, with the top team taking all.  I’m fine with any of these 3 scenarios.

Do you love it or do you love it?

No reason not to do it.

I assume I’m doing horrible so obviously I’d favor getting a chance to catch lightning in a bottle in the bowl season for some of the money. That said I think the whole pot should still go to the teams that are successful over the regular season (points winner, end-of-year 2-game winning streak hero, runner(s) up?). I vote do it for fun this year and if it seems decent do it again with something on the line next year.

I did a player pool for March Madness 2 years ago. (Did I win? Yes- led by the Big Baby.) We could possibly get a lot of people in for a bowl season player pool where we draft 7-man squads or something if there’s interest.

By the way where are the results, standings, etc. posted?

Oh wow, Deano hasn’t been getting info?!?!?! Please update his email address to timothy.2.dean@ampf.com
